While doing street art at a disused subway station with his uncle, teenager Miles Morales is bitten by a radioactive spider. He reaches out to his uncle Aaron later for help, and when he cannot get in contact with him, he returns to the Station and discovers a secret laboratory belonging to Wilson Fisk. Fisk has built a particle accelerator to access a parallel universe to be with his deceased wife and son (or at least an alternative reality version). Miles meets Spider-man, who is killed during a battle with Green Goblin and Prowler to stop Fisk from carrying out his plan. Before he dies, he gives Miles a USB in order to destroy the accelerator. Soon after the death of Spider-Man spreads, miles tries to harness his new-found abilities, but not before Meeting Peter B. Parker, a Spider-Man from another dimension.
